A cold south westerly kept us all rugged up but apart from that it was perfect whale watching conditions. I joined Shona Lorigan from ORRCA and our first pod of Humpbacks were sighted at 7.30am a few kilometres out to sea.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next few hours our tally slowly grew so by lunch we had close to 20 Humpbacks recorded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/whalespotter.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/W2224.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-606\" title=\"Whale Watching at Bondi\" src=\"http:\/\/whalespotter.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/W2224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whalespotter.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/W2224.jpg 800w, https:\/\/whalespotter.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/W2224-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/whalespotter.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/W2224-601x400.jpg 601w, https:\/\/whalespotter.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/W2224-418x278.jpg 418w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A constant stream of joggers and walkers visited our look little lookout at the tip of Marks Park, which is one the coastal walking track between Bondi and Tamarama. It\u2019s always a delight to see the excitement on someone\u2019s face when you tell them that your whale watching and can show them a pod cruising past.<\/p>\n<p>The Bondi Whale Festival was in full swing at the Bondi Pavilion during the day.
